Buffalo National River, Hot Springs National Park, and Pea Ridge National Military Park

Over Labor Day 2018 weekend we took a trip to the Diamond State. We linked up with another great family and floated the Buffalo National River and then drove further into Arkansas to visit Hot Springs National Park. On the way home we popped into Pea Ridge National Military Park for a quick visit as well.

Crawford Lake State Park is a great state park in Kansas. It offers numerous recreational activities on the lake, a campground, a diner, and many other opportunities. We only stayed here one night to explore nearby Fort Scott National Historic Site.

The Grand Canyon Railway and Hotel RV Park lies on the west side of Williams, AZ, a quaint town along old Route 66. The park is a paved parking lot, but it’s proximity to the Grand Canyon NP, the park’s upkeep, and the town of Williams, AZ made the stay.
