Campground Review: Road Runner RV Park; Oklahoma City, OK

RV Park’s location35.418212, -97.487388

Stayed in the park during our Spring Break Trip

1. Location. The location is near the intersection of I-35 and I-240 in Oklahoma City, OK.  The campground is right off the the highway.  The road noise wasn’t horrific.  We needed a place to stay near downtown OKC, so we knew what we were going to get.

The park is definitely in a commercial area, it wasn’t that noisy but it wasn’t quiet either.

2. Sites. There are two sides of the park.  On each side, there are pull-throughs in the middle and back in sites around the perimeter of the park.  Every site is paved and has electric, water, sewer, and cable hook ups.  The spacing is pretty tight, but there is grass between the sites.

3. Facilities. The park has two shower houses, one attached to the park office.  They were clean and weren’t cramped.  In each shower house there was also laundry.

4.  Amenities.  The WiFi was typical RV park.  It dropped sometimes and wasn’t the quickest.  The other amenity to highlight is storm shelters.  There are actual dug in storm shelters in the park.  That was a nice touch in Tornado Alley.

Storm shelters give a peace of mind when staying in Tornado Alley

Conclusion. Road Runner RV Park is a well run RV park near downtown Oklahoma City.  It is a good location for an overnight stop or to stay close to downtown.

Would We Stay Again?  If we were traveling through OKC and needed a place to rest, this is a good spot.
